Hello folks!! Lots of exciting news over on the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog. First of all, this months challenge which has the theme of 'Love is in the air' (yep, I've got that song going around in my head too). I wanted to make a 12x12 scrapbook layout of my niece Katy and her partner Steve.
It's a very simple page. A sheet of 12x12 Kraft card. I stamped the background with one of the flower heads from Joanna's Pressed flower stamp sets using the magnificent flitterglu and sprinkled with Wisteria transparent art institute glitter. (it's very sparkly in real life) The green backing paper and all the floral elements are printed from the Jane Shasky CDrom. I cut the decorative envelope from a HOTP template that I've had for years and added some velvet ribbon to the page.
I happened to be playing with the offcuts from the photo mat... just twizzling them in my fingers and I liked the little coil it formed. So I decided to make some more and use them on my page. The camera really picked up the sparkle from the stamped flowers on this final photo. I die cut the letters for the title from funky foam.
There is a fabulous prize up for grabs this month and also ....(......drum roll......) there's a DT call running until 15th March. I would love it if one of my blog buddies were to be the new DT member :o) Click here to apply for the DT call.
Ciao for now!
