Hello folks! Please forgive my lack of blogging and commenting of late. I have had quite a poorly household that have all needed nursing back to health. I haven't come down with anything yet (famous last words I know) and I hope it stays that way.... I haven't got time to be ill. Anyway, I'll stop rambling as this was meant to be a quick post. Sleep required as after work tomorrow I'm off to enjoy a fabulous weekend scrapbooking with my friends in Bournemouth.
I made this card for the current card challenge on the Scrapology blog. The image was provided by this months sponsor The Crafty Purple Frog and the theme is layers.
I hope you can see all the layers in this shot. I must admit it took a long tome to cut out and it's definitely a card that demands hand delivery. My little boy, Ben, said that he liked my 3D card, which in itself made it all worthwhile.
I added glossy accents and glitter to the final layers of decoupage. I created an embossed panel and rubbed gold 'rub-on' over it. I created the flowers by die cutting some pages from an old book with Spellbinders and spritzed a couple with Mica sprays. They are held together and fixed to the card using brads.
I hope you'll be able to join in with this months challenge. Don't forget to hop over to Scrapology for details of the prize and loads of fabulous inspiration from the team.
Ciao for now!
