JNM 'Swallows' Slider card

Hi folks! Here's a double slider card (tutorial here) that I made to showcase Jayne Netley Mayhew's new 'Swallow' stamp set.
I have used papers by 'My Minds Eye' and Nestabilities to create the Oval, Scalloped oval and Square mats. The images are stamped and painted with Koi watercolours, carefully cut out and adhered with dimensional glue gel.
I added a decorative eyelet and some ribbon to the bottom panel making it easier to slide open and push closed.
It's my long weekend at work :o( I hope you enjoy yours whatever your plans may be :o)

'Sharing and Caring' Budgies

Hi folks! Here's a card I made using the 'Budgerigar' stamp set by Jayne Netley Mayhew.
I think the papers that I used are by DCWV (they were loose in my stash mountain). I used my circle Nestabilities to cut the small aperture and mount. I embossed some of the panels with my Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder. Just a bit of matting and layering on this card. The images are stamped and painted with Koi water colour paints. I suspended the embossed circle in the aperture with thread sandwiched between the card and the patterned paper. The sentiment also comes as part of the stamp set. I finished off the card with some self adhesive gems.

How are you Duck?

Hi folks! This is a sweet little 4"x4" card that I made using the 'Duck' stamp set found here.
A very simple little card using K&Co papers, mats and layers die cut using my Nestabilities. The cute corners are die cut using a Quickutz die.

The image is stamped onto Fabriano watercolour paper and painted with Koi watercolours. I have inked all the edges with my trusty Graphite Black Brilliance ink pad. I finished the card off by adding the large ribbon bow made using my bow maker..... I've had lots of folks asking if I use a bow maker.

Country Life - Green fingers

Hi Folks! Here's a diddy little card I made for Joanna Sheen showcasing the bucket of apples stamp from the 'Green Fingers' set which is part of the Country Life collection.
I used Cosmo Cricket papers and plenty of Antique Linen Distress ink to colour the white cardstock. I used my Nestabilities to create the circle and scalloped circle mats. The brown sheer ribbon and bow is held in place with a large brad. The image is stamped and painted with Koi watercolour paints, carefully cut out and adhered with dimensional glue gel. I finished off the card by adding some translucent dimensional red dots.

Country Life - My Garden Bench

Hi folks! Here's a card I made for Joanna Sheen using her new 'Country Life - My Garden' stamp set.
I used Papermania designer papers. I inked the edges with my Crimson Copper Brilliance ink pad. I used my Nestabilities to create the panel on the inside, the scalloped circle frame and also the mats for garden trowel and fork.
I painted the images with Koi watercolour paints, cut them out carefully (was quite tricky around the basket handle and the ribbons) I finished off the card with some die cut (Cuttlebug) corners and a tiny ribbon bow.
Have a great day

You're the Best!

Hi folks! Here's another card I made for Joanna Sheen, this time using the Squirrel designed by Jayne Netley Mayhew.
The papers I used were from my stash mountain (sorry I can't remember who they are by) I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and painted it with my Koi watercolour paints, cut it out and adhered with dimensional glue gel. I left a small white border around the squirrel to help it stand out against the backing paper. I knotted some ribbon and tied it around the bottom of the card. I used my We R Memory Keepers decorative corner chomper to create the tags. the sentiments came in the Squirrel stamp set. I finished off the card by adding a blob of glossy accents to the squirrels eye.
Hope you enjoy this glorious weekend.

A card for Grandpa

Hi folks! There's a new challenge over on Dare U 2 Digi stamps. This time it's 'One for the boys'. Hop on over and check out the brilliant cards made by me fellow DT.
The backing paper is by DCWV. I made the frame using my Labels Nestabilities dies and embossed it with my Cuttlebug. I threaded some ribbon around and knotted it at on side before adhering the frame. I painted 'Meerkat Youngster' with Koi Watercolours. The sentiment is stamped from set by Paula Pascual. Lastly I die cut the letters from Funky Foam with a Cuttlebug Alphabet die set.

Make a Splash!

Hi folks! Here's one of the samples that I made for Joanna Sheen from the newly released 'Countryside' rubber stamp collection designed by Jayne Netley Mayhew. A beautiful, gentle collection with some fabulous sentiments too.
I used some lovely K&Co patterned papers for this card. I used my paper trimmer to cut the squares, inked the edges and carefully adhered them using dimensional glue gel. (Great for nudging into place) I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with my Nestabilities oval die. I also used my Nesties to cut the Scalloped Oval, Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle. I stamped the Otter and painted him with my Koi watercolours. I tore around the Otter and inked the edges with Antique Linen distress ink. I added a small ribbon above the sentiment and finished off the card with some glossy accents on the otters eye and nose.

Grandma's House

Hi folks! Woah.... that was a big blogging break. Seems like I have been away forever and the crafting world has moved on in leaps and bounds (looking above, I have lost a few photography skills too) Hoping to catch with you all soon and see what crafty delights you have been creating. This is my long overdue card for Weds Truly Scrumptious challenge which 'Sandra Dry Digi Designs' is proud to be sponsoring. There is a fabulous sketch to get your creative juices flowing and the prize is 6 images from little ol' me.
The patterned papers are by Cosmo Cricket. I used my Nestabilities to cut all the smaller circles and scalloped circle. My WRMK Magnetic circle cutter was used for the large one. The corners are die cut using my Cuttlebug and filled with sepia glossy accents. The letters are die cut from funky foam using 'Amsterdam' a 'Ko-Kreate' alphabet set. The little heart was made using a Martha Stewart punch. 'Red' and the Grandma's cottage were coloured with Copic markers, carefully cut out and adhered with glue gel.
I'll be back later with samples I made for Joanna Sheen's recent Jayne Netley Mayhew Stamp launch.

CuRiOuSeR and cUrIoUsEr........

Hi folks! It's a great week to join in with the fun over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp.....'Anything Goes!' So get printing those delightful digi stamps and let your imagination run wild. I had so much fun making this card. It's the first time 'Alice' had come out to play.
I dug out a really ancient Provocraft paper stack that's been tucked away for years and found this backing paper. It was a great base to add the stamped pocket watches, teapots and teacups (See D's) I added some blue and White Gingham paper which I matted onto black cardstock (cut with deckle edged scissors) then some blue velvet ribbon on top of that. I cut a circle scalloped funky foam frame with my Nestabilities. The sheet behind the frame is from an old book which I had also stamped on. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the flowers, again from the pages of the old book. I shaped them with a ball tool, inked the edges and adhered them with dimensional glue gel. The pocket watch and lock were die cut using Quickutz dies. I coloured Alice with Copic Markers. The letters are also die cut from Funky Foam using Quickutz 'dragonfly' alphabet plate. I finished the card off with a small ribbon bow. The whole card was based on the Sketch over on Sketch Saturday.... only thing was I couldn't fit the 3 panels on my design as the would have covered too much of the stamped backing paper.

My New 'Storybook Girls'...Bo Peep

Hi folks! It's my turn to sponsor the weekly challenge 'Moving Along with the Times'. This week Clare has come up with a fantastic sketch and I was thrilled to be able to join using one of my newly launched 'Storybook Girls' Bo Peep (hop over and check out the intro they gave me :o0 I am amazed and humbled.... thank you so much Heidi and team!)
I used a sheet of 'Blueberry Hill' Papermania paper. I cut and distressed a sheet of heavily textured white paper (by Sizzix) I then took some pink Mulberry paper and tore it into long strips; inked the edges with Crimson Copper Brilliance ink; pleated it as adhering to the back of the textured mat. I coloured Bo Peep with Copic Markers, carefully cut her out and adhered her to the panel with with dimensional glue gel. I used a BossKut die to cut the green part of the flowers and added yellow paper flowers on top. I finished the card off by adding buttons tied with sheer ribbon.
I hope you get the chance to play along with the challenge.... you could win 6 of my digi's :o)
