Mama's 70th Birthday Card

Hi folks!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Here's the card I made for my Mum, as promised. I can't believe she's 70! I know it's a bit of a cliche but my Mum is the best Mum in the world. She really is an angel sent down from heaven. The most generous, giving, loving, caring person I know. Completely selfless, always thinking of others. Love you Mama!
I used papers from my We R Memory Keepers 'Tiffany' stack, an EK Success boarder punch and a strip of self adhesive lace. I layered up some Prima flowers and held them together with a jewelled brad. I cut the letters from funky foam using my Cuttlebug 'Fancy Pants' alphabet. I finished off the card with some gem swirls.
I know you can't tell from the picture but this card is quite huge, it's about 10"x7".
My Mum loved it :o)
Ciao for now!

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge 30 - Hearts, Valentine

Hi folks!
Please excuse me for being so late posting my 'Dare U' DT creation. My Marvellous Mama celebrated her 70th birthday yesterday and I have only just managed to finish this little pizza box for the challenge. Will share the card I made for Mum tomorrow...
The theme on Dare U is Valentines/Hearts and of course you need to use a digi image on your creation. Hop on over and feast your eyes on the fab stuff the DT have come up with.
I used my Metric Scor-Pal and these instructions to make the little pizza box using paper from my K&Co 'Smitten' stack. I cut the frame from pink glittered cardstock using my heart Nestabilities. I coloured the digi image, 'Romantic Simples', with Copic markers and Sakura pens. I die cut the letters from Funky foam using a Quickutz alphabet and finished the box off with an over sized bow.
I'm entering this to the following challenges. Lexi's Creations - Valentines. My time to craft - Elegant Rose. The Craft Garden - Anything New (My Spellbinder dies arrived this morning!) A Spoon Full Of Sugar - Freestyle. Creative Belli Blog - Hearts.
Thank you so much to everyone who entered our 'Buttons' challenge. Looking forward to seeing your 'loved-up' creations!

Get me to the Church on time.....

Hi folks!
Here's a card I made using Joanna Sheen's 'Country Life' stamp collection. This lovely church is from the 'Can't Have Everything' Set. I thought it would be great to use for a wedding card.
I kept this one nice and simple. I used beautiful cardstock from the DCWV luxury stack to cover the card blank. I stamped the image with Versafine ink and watercoloured it. I rubbed the edges of the card with my Versamark ink pad and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I entwined the two heart stamps and embossed them with gold embossing powder. I then infilled the hearts with glossy accents. I finished the card off with a large ribbon bow and adhered everything with glue gel.

Love gives us a fairytale...

Hi folks!
Here's a card I made using Joanna Sheen's More Than Words Cdrom. I thought this panel would be great with a little fairy stamped, sitting onto one of the flowers. The sentiment is so lovely and whimsical.
I covered my base card with some dark glitterboard. I then stamped some leafy swirls onto a piece of black cardstock with versamark. Then got my perfect pearl pigments powders and swirled them straight on with a soft dry brush.. I deckled the edges with my Carl trimmer and matted this onto a deckled layer of green pearlescent card. I printed the image straight onto some linen card and stamped with the fairy, as mentioned above. I punched out some butterflies using my Martha Stewart punch and added turquoise stickles to the wing tips.
This is a much larger card than I usually make. It's at least 8 inches tall.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Feeling Romantic?.....'Simples!'

Hi folks! Check out Mr. Suave and Sophisticated ;o) It's Romantic 'Simples' and he is available here. I had fun making this card. I followed the sketch on The Pink Elephant Challenge. Creative Card Crew would like punches/border punches. A Spoon Full of Sugar would like us to use lots of layers. My Time to Craft require Damask Designs. Papertake Weekly would like to see Pink on our designs and Crafty Ann's challenge this week is embossing.
I have used K&Co's Smitten papers for this card. The pink panel was a gorgeous glittered sheet. First time in ages that I have used my MS doily punch. I used my Nestability oval and scalloped oval. blobbed (bit too blobby for my liking) some perfect pearls on the scallops.... looks better IRL.... promise. I embossed the oval panel with my New Pink Cuttlebug. (please don't 'tut' at me, I just couldn't resist the new pink one. My green bug is still being loved and used by his new Mummy) I coloured Romantic 'Simples' with Copic Markers, Sakura Sparkle pens and 'Glossy Accented' his eyes and nose/ The gorgeous felt hearts are from my Smitten kit.
That's Mr. Dry's Valentine's card done and dusted. Yay!

Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust.....

Hi folks!
Here's another card I made using Joanna Sheen's newly released 'In Other Words' CDrom. It's got loads of lovely sentiments on it. As you know I love my fairies and couldn't resist making this card which quotes Peter Pan's famous phrase.
The panels are printed from the CDrom. I trimmed away some of the 'white space' from the first one and layered it (with dimensional glue gel) onto some purple glitter card. I used my Cricut to cut the Tinkerbell Silhouette and Quickutz dies for the Butterfly.
Some sheer ribbon tied into a bow and a sparkly gem brad to hold it in place was the finishing touch.
I hope I whisked you off to Neverland for a while with this card.

'Chocolate Box' Cottage

Hi folks!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's a wet one here.... still, managed to get lots of chores out of the way. This is one of the cards I made for the launch of Joanna Sheen's 'Country life' stamps.
I covered the front and inside of the card with K&Co papers. I used my Circle Nestabilities to cut the aperture. I then covered the 'waste' circle with more patterned paper; stamped the flowers (a freebie stamp that came with a magazine.) with brilliance white ink; Stamped and embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder; and inked the edges. I then adhered it to the inside of the card through the aperture. I stamped the cottage, painted it with watercolours and cut it out before adhering to the front of the card. I finished off with a ribbon bow.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

A Fairy Wish

Hi folks! 'Buttons'.... the first challenge of 2010 over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. The team have come up with some wonderful creations, so hop on over to be inspired. For my card I followed the sketch on Truly Scrumptious where 'Yours Truly' is the sponsor. Yes the winner of the challenge, chosen at random, will win six of my digi images! Cupcake Crafts has a theme of 'Girly Cards'. The Craft Garden and Charisma Crafts have a them of 'New' (I broke open my Lolita, Sandy Lion papers for this one) Danni's Dreams would like to see and angel, Butterfly or fairy and the Creative Card Crew would like Distressing on our cards.
Not too difficult to put this card together (...then why did it take me soooooo long?) just a bit of matting and layering, a few buttons tied with ribbon onto some faux buttons and circle sentiment that came from the Lolita kit. Rosabella was one of my first Digi-Stamps. She's been coloured with Copics and glitter.
Hope you can join in with the challenge.

Peek a boo, Baby Card

Hi folks!
This is another card I made using a cute baby image from the Precious Petals CD rom. Such a cute baby, she looked like she was playing Peek-a-boo to me, hence the inspiration for the card.
I printed the backing paper onto pearlescent cardstock and used my EK Success punch for the boarders. My favourite thing to do with Prima flowers is to paint them with Cosmic Shimmer watercolours. They come up a treat. The leaves I used for this card are also Prima and the flower eyelet is by We R Memory Keepers. I die cut the letters from, yes you guessed it, funky foam using my Sizzlet 'Day & Night' alphabet. I finished the card off with some white ribbon.
School is open today, housework is going to have to wait as I'm getting the pencils out and doing some drawing!

Precious Petals Tunnel Card

Hi Folks!
Here's another card I made using Joanna Sheen's Precious Petals CD rom. I printed some of the beautiful cloud backing paper onto pearlescent cardstock and used this to make the the structure of the Tunnel Card. I printed out the sweet little girl and carefully cut around her, the flowers and the swing using a craft knife. I added angel dust (Art Institute) glitter to her wings and parts of her dress and flax glitter to the centre of the flowers.
I coiled some wire and popped it on the frame. These were held in place by the glue gel that I used to hold down the tiny gold glitter card punched flowers. The butterfly is printed from the CDrom onto cardstock and glittered. I added more coiled wire for the antennae and adhered it to the card on top of some green tulle.
Hope you like it

Another... 'Precious Petal'

Hi folks!
Hope you are all warm and well. Have had a little, impromptu, blogging break. School closures and adverse weather condition are the cause. I haven't had a chance to make anything yet this year but I still have lots of samples that I made for Joanna Sheen to share with you that I haven't blogged yet. Really looking forward to some crafting when we get back into a routine.

The image for this card is from Joanna's Precious Petals CDrom. I also printed out some of the matching backing paper onto cardstock ( cream dotty on blue) and used my Sizzix flower die to cut the flower shapes. I also die cut flowers from white and cream glitter board, layered the flowers up and added a button with knotted sheer ribbon to the centres. I used a Quickutz die to cut the leaf shapes from green glitter board (DCWV) and the white card base and turquoise layer were both cut on my Cricut. The letters are my signature funky foam die cut letters. This time the font is 'London' by Go Kreate dies.
A 'Spring' feel to melt away these winter blues.
