Time for some yummy Easter Eggs

Hi folks! It's challenge #32 over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this time we would like you to use pearls. I've used my melt dust (Silver pearl) and melt dust vellum for the first time to create the lovely embossed digi image and I'm really pleased with the results.

I used my Gypsy and Cricut to create the card blank from DCVW luxury cardstock. I dry embossed a panel of pink pearl card and glittered the edges. My 'Egg Cake Stand' (newly released and available here) as mentioned above, was printed onto Meltdust Vellum, I then sprinkled silver pearl Meltdust powder and heat embossed it. I coloured the eggs from the back with Copic markers and painted the stand and bows on the front with liquid pearls. I attached the vellum to some white cardstock with eyelets and topped them with pink pearls. Again I glittered around the edges. I created a swirl using pearls and added a pink feather and a small ribbon bow for a finishing touch.

Charisma Guest DT card, Birthday Card

Hi folks!
We'll it's my last week as Guest DT over on the Charisma Cardz Challenge blog. I've had a fab time playing along this month. This weeks challenge is to make a birthday card and it needs to have a candle on it.
The cute patterned papers and stickers are by American Traditional Designs. I took the solid blue paper, embossed it with the stars CB embossing folder then added some gold metallic rub on to the raised parts. I matted this onto some gold mirri card and adhered with dimensional glue gel. I used my Gypsy and Cricut Expressions to create the name 'Barney' ( I just love the welding feature on the Gypsy) again this was adhered with glue gel. I coloured the little Hanglar boy with Copic Markers and added the sticker party hat. I finished off the card by adding some faux stitching and a few highlights with my white gel pen.
I hope you can join in with this challenge.... you can never have enough birthday cards in your box!

Jayne Netley Mayhew 'Penguins' Card

Hi folks. Hope you have enjoyed your weekend. My kiddies are back to school tomorrow, so after the initial morning rush calm will descend upon the Dry residence... hopefully ;o)
I made this card using Joanna Sheen's 'Jayne Netley Mayhew' Penguins rubber stamp set. The papers were from my stash mountain (sorry I can't remember who they are by) I cut away a portion of the front of the card replacing it an EK Success punched strip and some acetate. I stamped the trio of penguins four times and painted them with my Lyra Aqua colours. I then shaped them a little and adhered them to the acetate with dimensional glue gel. I made the frame using a square and small rectangle Nestabilities dies, once cut I ran them through the Cuttlebug in the snowflakes embossing folder and added ice stickles glue to the dots. I popped some pale blue pearlescent paper on top of the white scalloped square and used dimensional glue gel to adhere the embossed frame to the scalloped layer. The baby penguin was stamped and coloured in the same way as the others and then I popped him into the frame. I finished the card off with a white ribbon bow.

Jayne Netley Mayhew 'Robin & Wren' card

Hi folks! Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Here is a card that I made using the 'Robin' and 'Wren' rubber stamp sets from Joanna Sheen's recently released Jayne Netley Mayhew collection.
I used the WS Zig Zag template to make the card. I heat embossed the flower and leaf spray (from the Wren set) randomly all over the brown outer Zig Zags with copper powder. I used a handmade textured card for the inner Zig Zags, inked and distressed the edges.
I used my Label Nestabilities to create the panels which I embossed on my Cuttlebug and then rubbed on Copper Metallic rub (like a wax) to highlight some of the embossed detail. The sentiments are part of the stamp sets. I made the flowers by using my Martha Stewart flower and leaf punches. I shaped and inked the edges before adhering adding dimensional glitter glue to the centres as a finishing touch.
I stamped the birds, coloured them with my Copic Markers, carefully cut them out and adhered them to the panels with dimensional glue gel.
I simply stamped and embossed the Robin with gold embossing powder on the front panel; added more flowers to embellish and set a large eyelet which I used to thread some sheer ribbon to act as a closure.
Hope you like my card.

Jane Netley Mayhew 'Swans' card

Hi folks. Here's another card I made using Joanna Sheen's 'Jane Netley Mayhew' bird rubber stamp collection. I used lots of soft colours and pearly card on this one.
I cut a square of pearlescent white card a smidgen larger than my card blank, used my Nestabilities circle die to cut the aperture. I then embossed the panel with my Fiskars swirly texture plate (through my Cuttlebug) I distressed all the edges using a combination of a distressing tool and my trusty old fingers. I found some lovely aqua mulberry paper in my stash and used that for a layer behind the aperture and for the layer behind that I used pale blue pearlescent paper. I wrapped a ribbon bow around the card. I then stamped the swans and watercoloured them using Lyra Aqua colours. I used my Woodware flower punches and Martha Stewart leaf punch to create the flowers. I finished the flowers off with some self adhesive blue pearls.

Charisma Guest DT card

Hi folks! Thursday crept round mighty quickly this week. Here's my GDT card for Charisma Cards Challenge. There is a wonderful sketch to follow, the DT have come up with some marvellous cards for your inspiration.
For my card I used DCWV patterned papers, my EK Success border punch and my Nellie's multishape frame die. I coloured the cute Tilda with Copic Markers, I glittered the ribbon on her staff and added glossy accents to the dots on her cardi. In December I bought a lovely roll of glittery gold wrapping paper from WHsmiths, I think it's going to last me years!, it punches beautifully which is what I have one here with my Martha Stewart flower punch. I also used it for my die cut letters and for filling in the gaps behind the holes in the frame. I finished off the card with some pink self adhesive pearls.
I'm also entering the following challenges with this card: Just Magnolia 'Love', Lexi's Creations 'Spotted or Striped', Incy Wincy 'Punch it out', Pile it On 'Flowers', A Spoon full of sugar 'Spring'.
Ciao for now,

Jane Netley Mayhew 'Violets' Card

Hi folks. Hope you are well. I made this card using the newly released Jane Netley Mayhew 'Violet' rubber stamp set.
I covered the dark card completely with Versamark ink and swirled on various colours of Cosmic Shimmer Mica powders with a soft dry brush. I then inked up the Violet stamp with Versamark and stamped randomly across the card. The inked impression lifted up the mica powder. The picture above shows the results quite well but you can click on it for a closer look.
The patterned papers are by 'Hot Off The Press'. I stamped the image onto green patterned paper and lilac patterned paper and cut out some of the leaves and flower heads. I sprayed these with Mica spray before adhering them to the main image. I used my circle and scalloped circle Nestabilities. I also used my EK Success border punch. I finished off by adding a large sparkly bow and some decorative pins.

Newly released Jayne Netley Mayhew Bird Stamps

Hi folks! While my pc was out of action I was busy making some more samples for Joanna Sheen. I made this card using the newly released Jayne Netley Mayhew rubber stamp Collection, 'Blue Tit'. Such a gorgeous stamp set to work with.
The backing paper that I used for the inside of the card was printed from one of Joanna Sheen's floral CD roms (sorry I forgot to make a note where it was from) I used my Martha Stewart Doily punch to create some delicate layers at the top of the card. I cut some acetate to size and adhered it behind the doily layers covering all the joins with the large ribbon bow.
I painted the bird and the flowers with Lyra aquacolour crayons. The sentiment is also part of the set. I adhered this to the inside of the card, under the acetate an added some sparkly dots to the corners.
I hope you had a chance to see the launch show on Create and Craft yesterday afternoon.

2 Guest DT Cards to share....

Hi folks! Due to computer problems I wasn't able to share my 'I love You' GDT card I made for the Charisma Challenge last week, so here it is! I found the bottle template on the web; Stamped and embossed the flourishes; Painted 'Romantic Simples' with my Lyra colours and added some stickles glitter glue to the rose.
The words were from a K&Co Chinese 'take out' box that is stuffed full with a gazillion words. I finished the card off with a ribbon bow.
My second Charisma GDT card is for this weeks challenge which is a ' Think Male' theme. I followed the sketch on Moving along with the times, and am entering the card to the Paperplay challenge which this week has a theme of making a birthday card for someone special.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend whatever you have planned. Don't forget to give your loved ones an extra huggle or two on Sunday.
Ciao for now!

Hi folks!! It's so good to be back! I'm nearly there 'recovering' the necessary from my pc (see previous post) Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. Thank you so much for all your fabulous entries on the previous 'Dare U' challenge.... looks like peeps are really enjoying creating with digi images :o) My Mum asked me to make this card. She wanted one of my Rosabella fairies, circles and the colour green and of course the 'Get Well Soon' sentiment too (Check my Mum out... setting me a challenge ;o)
Challenge #31 over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp is 'Punches'. I'm sure lots of you watched the Martha Stewart TSV on QVC yesterday which may have inspired you to do some punching. I've used my Woodware flower punches and my MS leaf punch to create this flower. The papers are from the 'Tiffany' stack by We R Memory Keepers. I used my Cuttlebug and paisley embossing folder on the pink circular panel. I used my Nestabilities to die cut the circles. 'Rosabella Wish' has been coloured with Copic Markers and I used Glamour dust on her wings. I added a few wispy pink feathers to the brown circle frame and some tiny pink flower gems to the patterned paper and the middle of the punched flower. I followed the Sketch on Sketch Saturday and am also entering this card for the Pollycraft Challenge which this time is 'things with wings'.

Copic Colour Challenge - Guest DT :o)

Hi folks!
Hope you are all well. Here's my card for this weeks Copic Colour Challenge where I'm the Guest DT :o) I didn't have the exact colours required so I worked with the closest I had. (have popped the coloured on towards the end of this post) I hope you can join in too.

I covered a small 4" card with K&Co Hannah papers.... am really enjoying working on a smaller scale. I used my Scalloped Oval Nestability to cut the aperture. My little Hanglar girl has been coloured with Copic Markers. I added some glossy accents to her shoes and hearts and a tiny punched flower and pearl to her hat. The flourishes are Quickutz and cut from Funky Foam. I punched out some flowers from an old book, inked the edges, adhered to flourishes with dimensional glue gel and added self adhesive pearls to the centres. I finished the card off with a ribbon bow.
This card is also for: Creative Belli Challenge - Ribbons, Papertake Weekly - Love Actually, Creative Card Crew - Valentines, Pile it On - Non-Winter Colours, The Saturday Challenge - Hearts, Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - Open Challenge, Incy Wincy - Put Your Hat On, Double Dutch - Valentine, Lexi's Creations - Valentine and Raise the Bar - The Older the Better (This was one of the very first Hanglar Stamps in my collection.)
I'll be back tomorrow with another GDT card...
