A sneaky peek of my new 'Daddy' images

Hi folks!
Here's a peek at 'Bonnie and Daddy' one of my new designs that will be available soon at Sandra Dry Digi-Stamps.  Lots more fun designs to add to your collection coming soon.
For this card I used the Paper Take Weekly sketch, the Colour Create 'Sky Blue, Tan & Ecru' combo and The pink Elephant theme of 'Letters'.  The papers are a combination of DCWV and Papermania.  I also used my Cuttlebug  to emboss the cream panel. I used my 'Go-Kreate' alphabet dies for the letters.  The Velvet ribbon is from American Crafts,  the butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch (I love these... you may be seeing lots on my cards ;o) and  I dusted off my Prisma Colour pencils, Sansodor and paper stumps to colour the image. I finished off the card with some self adhesive pearls.
I think I'll save this card for my little girl to give to her 'Daddy'.
Ciao for now!

My Biggest Challenge Combo Yet!

Hi folks!
I think I may have covered 7 challenges with this card.... let's see... I followed the 'anniversary' sketch over on Friday Sketchers, Just Magnolia wanted to see stitching (mine is faux), over on The Saturday Challenge they are asking for Brads or Eyelets (I had a perfectly coloured flower brad to go with these papers) The Cupcake Challenge wanted a card for a man or boy, Paper take Weekly has the theme of 'Animal Antics', My Time to Craft also has the theme of Kids and lastly Cute Card Thursday wants us to include Letters or Numbers....Phew, I think that covers them all :o)
For my card I used Imaginisce papers, Edwin (Magnolia) has been coloured using  Copic Markers and Koi water colours.  The large butterfly is a Quickutz die and for the smaller ones I used my Martha Stewart punch.  There is a coil of copper wire behind the butterfly which I hope suggests movement and goes nicely with the sketch.  I used my Go-Kreate Amsterdam alphabet to create the sentiment.

Hi folks!
There are lots of birthdays in May...I made this card for one of my DT buddies who celebrates her birthday today! HaPpY bIrThDaY *Kim*
I followed the sketch over on Papertake Weekly and am entering this card to the Spoon full of Sugar Challenge who have asked for 'touchy-feely' cards. I have used Imaginisce papers. The red and white polka dot paper has a lovely glossy sheen to it. In contrast I have die cut (Quickutz) fuzzy velour decorative corners. There is also some satin ribbon on my design and lastly a soft layer of mulbery paper behind the main image. The rubber stamp is my own design, 'Home Sweet Home', and is available exclusively at The Craft Barn. I coloured the image with Koi water colours and finished it off with some glitter for Loupy Lou's fairy wings.

Ben's little Hanglar boy card

Hi folks!
Well here's Ben's card as promised. The twins had a great day yesterday. Had lots of fun and ate lots of cake. Thank you for all your kind birthday wishes which I passed on. Not forgetting a huge thank you to my good friend Chris. She made a little boy and girl very happy with some beautiful cards (if you'd like a peak they are on her blog)
This card is a little different for me. Not hugely embellished. I like to make my cards so that the card base groans with the weight ;o) I followed the fab sketch over on Paper take weekly and the Reuse, Recycle theme The Pink Elephant has set. I have used a piece of cardboard salvaged from a box that arrived with.... crafting goodies of course!
I snipped off the tiny line which was the string that the Hanglar boy is holding in his hand so I replaced it with some thread from my sewing box. I have also used some glossy accents on the truck to make it glossy.
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine.
Ciao for now!

from the Hanglar Spring Kit (..and a.w.o.l. mojo)

Hi folks!
Anyone seen my mojo moping around anywhere? Have had to knuckle down and catch up on some housework and I'm afraid I must have offended my mojo who had abandoned me!! This card has taken the best part of two days to make. It covers a few of this weeks challenges. the sketch is from Cupcake Craft Challenges. Paper Take weekly is asking us to use 1 circle, 2 ribbons (I have layered 2 on my card) and 3 stamps (the butterflies are two different stamps from the Magnolia Spring kit) The Secret Crafter asked for stitching so I got my sewing kit out and did a bit of stitching on my card, something I haven't done for a long time and will definitely use again. Lastly the colour combo on Colour Create is Lilac and Blue. I really struggled with these colours...am just not a 'lilac' person.
The papers and card are K&Co and DCWV. This is my favourite stamp from the Hanglar Spring kit and I have coloured it with Prisma colour pencils, sansador, paper stumps and glitter. The Magnolia butterflies have been coloured with glitter and I added some wire antennae. The corner punch is from the Anna Griffin collection. I finished the card off with some self adhesive pearls.
Please, if you find my mojo send it straight home....I think we're gonna have to have words!
Ciao for now!

Multi Challenge Birthday Card

Hi folks!
I made this card for a friend of mine over on the Crafttelly forum and had fun following lots of challenges to complete it. The first being Sketch and Stash who have a wonderful Sketch up this week. It's the first time I've inked up this Whiff of Joy stamp and I've had it such a long time. Next is Papertake Weekly Challenge who have asked for something edible. The Pink Elephant wants to see buttons on our creations this week. It's Gems for a Spoon Full of Sugar and lastly a request for flowers from the ABC challenge.
The papers for this card are made by 'My Mind's Eye'. As mentioned above, the image is by Whiff of Joy and I have coloured her using Coloursoft pencils, Sansador and paper stumps. The Flower is punched, inked, curled, glued and finished off with a blue gem. The vines, decorative corners and faux buttons are all Quickutz. I have threaded and knotted some sheer ribbon through the button holes. The Scalloped strip is from the Doodlebug range.
Thanks for stopping by,
Ciao for now!

Multi Challenge Card featuring Tara and more Awards!

Hi folks!!

I made this card following quite a few challenges. The First being the great sketch over on Mojo Monday. This weeks Cuttlebug Spot Challenge is to use Bows. Papertake weekly has set a challenge to use Orange, Pink and Brown. The Pink Elephant challenge blog is asking for Ribbons and die cuts and A Spoon full of Sugar is looking out for torn edges.

For this card I used DCWV designer papers, (one of them had all different words for 'Mother' on it) I thought it would make a nice Mother's day card. I die cut the corner flourishes with my Cuttlebug. I think the ribbon came free with a magazine. It's been in my stash mountain for a long time. All the layers are adhered with dimensional glue gel. The beautiful image is one of Chris' new release Digital Stamps. If you haven't used a digi-download before why not consider having a go for one of these challenges. They are easy to use. You can download them instantly (no more waiting for the postie) and one of the greatest advantages is that you can re size them to fit with your project. I coloured the beautiful Tara with koi watercolours and rubbed some 'fruit punch' stickles over the flower petals. I think you can just about see in the close up that I have used glossy accents on her eyes to make the most of her wonderful features. I finished off the card with some self adhesive pearls.
Awards!

I have been chosen by fellow Sketch Saturday DT member Ria for the above two awards, thank you so much!, and would like to pass them on to:

Phree over on Ink Stain Survivor

Brandi over on Barely banana days

Dawn over on Crafty Ramblings

Lyn over on MickysMate

Poupette over on Le Blog de Poupetteval

Pinky over on Pinky's World

Alison over on Ali's Stamping Heaven

Desire over on Doing Life

Tara over on Happily Ever Crafting

Tara over on Inking on the Edge.

We are so lucky to have so many talented ladies blogging and sharing their ideas. You are such an inspiration to me. Keep up the good work.

Introducing Rosabella flower

Hi folks!
Has anyone seen my mojo anywhere? This card and gift tag took an absolute age to make last night and I'm still not happy with them. I think it's the colours.... let me know that you think.
To make the card I followed the sketch over on Mojo Monday, loved the sketch as soon as I saw it. May have to use it on another project to do it justice. Paper take weekly has the challenge of 'a matching set' so I made the gift tag to go with this one.

For these projects I have used K&Co and DCWV papers. The sentiment is an epoxy sticker from K&Co (I have tonnes of these to use up). The shapes were all cut using my Nestabilities and embossed with my Cuttlebug. The image is another one of my Rosabella designs which I'm hoping to launch as a digital download range soon. She has been coloured using a mixture of promarkers, koi watercolours and good old glitter... a fairy can never have enough glitter! The projects have been finished off with some gems.
Take care
Hugs
