Dare U 2 Digi Stamp #7 Lilac & Lemon

Hi folks!
It's a colour challenge over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp this week and what a pretty combo it is too... Lilac and Lemon.  The DT have provided a great array of designs for your inspiration so don't forget to hop on over to the site.  My Rosabella has dusted off her wings and come out to play for this card.
For the background I used a large foliage/vines stamp (QVC Foam Stamp) that I stamped with versamark ink and swirled Lemon & Lilac Cosmic Shimmer mica powders over with a dry brush.  I couldn't really capture the beautiful shimmer on the photo but if you click on the image you will be able to see more detail.  I used the same technique for the sentiment which is from Whiff of Joy.  I have used the Martha Stewart Lattice Arch border punch and butterfly punch.  The ribbons are from my stash.  Rosabella has been coloured with Copics and the Cosmic Shimmer Mica powders that I mixed with a tiny bit of water to produce perfectly toned shimmer paint. I have also added glitter to her hair and wings and have used a self adhesive pearl for the centre of the flower in her hair.  I then covered the whole stamped and coloured image with Glossy Accents encasing the glitter and even the pearl.
I hope you are able to join in with this weeks 'Dare' and I look forward to seeing your take on Lemon & Lilac.
Ciao for now!

Mojo Monday meets Colour Create

Hi folks!
Here is my crafty offering for tonight. Two challenges have been covered by this card. I followed the fab sketch on the Mojo Monday Challenge blog and the colour combination over on Colour Create. Pink and grey are the flavour of the week with the option of cute and cuddly. Well I don't think you can get much cuter than this teddy with his armful of flowers.

The designer papers are DCWV and the pink cardstock is co-ordinations. I adhered a contrasting white strip of paper behind the pink panel under the bear; stamped the grey swirls on; folded it back and held it securely with the five little grey brads. The square and scalloped layer are die cut with my Nestabilities. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss. I coloured the teddy with my Prismacolour pencils, Sanasodor and paper stumps. The flowers I painted with my twinkling H2O's and cosmic shimmers. Not sure if you can see or not but I did some feather cutting with a pair of sharp scissors all the way round the furry edges of the teddy.
Must get some sleep now, my twins were up at 5:30 this morning (technically yesterday) if they do the same today... I've only got a few hours sleepy time before they get up. Eeeek!
Nite folks!

The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.

Hi folks!
This week over on The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge the theme is recycling. For this card I recycled some ribbon that came from a gift box that was given to my daugther. I was saving it to use in her hair, luckily she likes mummy's card. Looking at it now, I should have ironed it first! I have used my Rosabella & Drake image again. They have been coloured with Prismacolour pencils, Sansodor and paper stumps. I have used some Cosmic Shimmer watercolours for their wings and finished off with some glitter. I used my deckle edge scissors to cut the layered heart from mirri board. Would you believe that the papers are a freebie download from the Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I don't usually use the freebie papers as I find they are quite thin and shiny. However I noticed that you can download as many free sheets as you like from their website. Which means you can choose what to print them on. I've printed mine on the same Linen card that I use to stamp on and they have come out beautifully.
Hope you are having a great day.

Sketch Saturday #34

Hello folks!
It's Saturday......it's Sketch Saturday Challenge time again. Jo has come up with another fun Sketch, all those lovely layers to work with. 'Fun' is what I had in mind when I stamped the gorgeous Primrose. 'Aint she a beauty!! Be sure to check out all the wonderful designs my fellow DT have come up with.
My fun card has been made with DCWV papers and card. I think the eyelets came with my Big Bite. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the circle layer and my Nestabilities to cut out the circles and scallop circles. I coloured in Primrose (from the Kadoodle range) using Derwent coloursoft pencils for her skin (didn't come out too well in the photos... I think my photography is getting worse not better... help!) I used a mixture of twinkling H2O's and cosmic shimmer watercolours for here attire and I finished off with cream pearlidoodles for the ice-cream.
I hope Primrose brings a little Sunshine to your day.
Please join me in saying farewell to Emma who is stepping down from Sketch Saturday DT. I am sure you will agree that her work is truly inspirational. It was great working with you Emma and I hope that you will have more time in the future to enjoy your craft again. Miss you!

** I forgot to add that I die cut the letters using Go Kreate dies, London alphabet. I used some fab stuff. Do you remember 'sticky backed plastic'? Well this is 'sticky back velour' lovely stuff. It's like the cheats version of flocking. (I got mine at Hobbycraft)**
