R is for Rainbow

Hello folks!  It's been quite a while since my last post.... busy busy again in the Dry household.  We're midway through a fab challenge over on Scrapology.  Not to be missed if you love your colours as much as I do. We're scraplifting a gorgeous page by Steph Delvin.  I loved the page so much that I didn't veer too far from the original.
It was so satisfying to start with a sheet of plain white cardstock.  I stamped the border with black ink and used a masking technique to mitre the corners.  The title was cut on the Cricut, inked and layered.
I die cut all the flowers from bright colourful cardstock and felt, inking and shaping before adhering to the page.
A little more stamping for the crown, swirls and words.  The finishing touch was a border cut with a Spellbinder Die tucked under the photo (I'd had a bit of a play with the photo in Craft Artist professional graphics programme to turn the photo black and white but keeping the colour in the flowers)
I hope you get a chance to join in with the challenge.  There's a great prize up for grabs..... see here, and some wonderful inspiration from my fellow team members.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hugs

Wowsers Sandra. You have excelled yourself here. It must have taken you ages die cutting and placing all those gorgeous flowers, but boy was it ever worth the effort. A fabulous LO. Just perfect.

This is beautiful, Sandra. It reminded me of a LO I did several years ago using flowers to create a rainbow in a very similar way. It's a beautiful effect isn't it.
Hope all is good with you.
