'H' is for Hexagons... Scrapology Challenge

Hello folks!  There is a fabulous fresh challenge over on Scrapology today.  We are scraplifting a layout by talented Katherine Sutton.  Details of the challenge, a sketch and lots of inspiration from my fellow teamies can be found here.
Please excuse my poor pic's... the clouds came over while I was shooting and refused to clear off! What came to mind when I thought Hexagons? Honeycombs of course.  So I set about using the cute bee and ladybird paper from the Spring Drop 12x12 pad by First Edition Paper.  The fun pastel colours compliment the photo of little Isabelle (taken on the eve of her 2nd birthday) Again not a great photo but I love the expression on her face here as she plays with her fairies.
I cut the hexagons with my Cricut and embossed a few of them with my Cuttlebug.  I inked all the edges (bit OCD about that).  The little banners I just cut by hand.  I used a crop-a-dile to punch a couple of holes on each one and threaded some pastel green ribbon, coloured to match using alcohol markers, (I think you can just about see it)  I coloured some ribbon pink and tied all the little bows before adhering with hot glue - just love how quickly hot glue sets.  I die cut all the letters and punctuation from funky foam; made a couple of paper ribbons and a real (pink) ribbon mat and grouped them in the bottom right corner as per the sketch.
There is a fantastic prize up for grabs, so don't delay, join in today!  Hop on over for more details here.
Ciao for now!
