N is for netting.... Scrapology August challenge

Hello folks!!  There is a fabulous challenge over on Scrapology this month.  We're scraplifting a gorgeous page by Toni with the additional challenge of using netting.  When I saw the page with it's sweet hanging birdcages I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use... a sheet from the fabulous Fairy Belle Prima stack.... that I purchased from Sam Poole's Shop.  You need to head on over to Sam's shop as she's got lots of fabulous goodies, including wooden and chipboard blanks as well as some Wendi Vecchi products at a generous 20% off.
The pad that I had was a 6x6 and the birdcage was hanging from the opposite side to the sketch so I decided to flip the sketch and work in miniature.  So the main photo is 2x2 and the smaller one is about the size of my thumb nail...!  I cut out a template using my Cricut for the shape of the page.  I die cut some vellum with my Cheery Lynn doily die, scrunched it up and flattened it out to add some texture and highlighted this by inking the edges.  The smaller scalloped circle behind the photo  was die cut with Nestabilities and the polka dots embossed with my Cuttlebug.  |I didn't have any netting to hand so I took some white sheer ribbon, colourised it with alcohol markers and trimmed off the both stitched edges all along it's length.  I'm hoping it looks a bit like mini netting.
I cut around part of a butterfly and tucked the little photo of Ben.  I also cut two slits by the side of the birdcage chain and threaded some of the sheer ribbon through.  I scattered a few little roses over the page.  I die cut the letters from funky foam and glittered them before adhering to the page.   I cut out a tiny tiny butterfly from the scraps of patterned paper that was left and popped it top right if the main photo.
I have really enjoyed creating this page... you may see lots more 'mini's' from me.
I hope you can join in with the challenge this month.  There's lots of fabulous inspiration from my uber talented teamies here to get your creative juices flowing.
Ciao for now!
