Enchanted Forest Fairy gift bag and placecard set

Hello folks! So sorry I've been such a bad blogger lately... it's been a very busy beginning to 2011. Work and training have taken over. I have still been crafting and photographed most of my creations, so hopefully I'll be able to share those with you soon.
I made this little gift box as part of my fairy party set. I made the shape using my Cricut and punched the flap with an EK Success. I punched an extra strip of purple pearlescent card and layered this under the flap. I tied a sheer ribbon bow around the flap and secured it in place with a square gem brad. I die cut some more of the purple card this time with my scalloped circle Nestabilities, positioned it in place and trimmed the edges. I stamped, coloured and cut out my fairy (from the Magical Day stamp set) shaped her and adhered her to the front of the gift bag using dimensional adhesive. I added some tendrils of coiled wire behind the fairy. For a finishing touch I added self adhesive gems around the scalloped die cut.
This was a little place card that I made, again using the smaller fairy stamp from the set. This time I cut away the leaves so she could sit straight onto the letters. I made the letters by die cutting funky foam with a Sizzix Sizzlet alphabet set.
Here's a little piccie of the whole set together. I really had fun making these.
I do hope I get a chance to come and visit your blogs soon.... I'm having withdrawal symptoms!
Take care
Ciao for now

Fairy Glitter Globe....

Well, it's the weekend again... hoorah! Here's a little Glitter Globe that I adorned with a picture of my beautiful Isabelle.
I coloured some of the fairies from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Forest stamp range with a combination of promarkers and Twinkling H2O's. The smaller designs worked better as the Glitter Globe is quite small. I cut the designs out and layered them onto a scrap of DCWV patterned paper. The sentiment is part of the stamp set. I just stamped and embossed it in white before cutting out and adhering.

I punched (Martha Stewart) some butterflies and added some tiny coils of wire for the antennae. I tied a tiny bow and wrapped the ribbon around the very bottom of the card. I tried to catch an action shot of the glitter in motion.... I think you can just about see that in the last shot.
Enjoy your weekend!
