Scrapology Dec Layout Challenge - 'F is for Filters'

Hello folks!!  Ooo I can tell it's December.  I look forward to 'The Season to be jolly' all year and when it arrives I remember how busy I always am.  Anyhow, back to the challenge over on the Scrapology blog.  This month we have gleaned our inspiration from a beautiful layout by Pamela Young.  Our additional challenge is to use filter paper.  Please hop on over to Scrapology to find out  more details about the challenge; see the wonderful pages created by my fellow teamies and drool over the fabulous prize that is up for grabs (Echo Park Merry Christmas Collection kit and cardstock) kindly donated by Jilly from Cardinal Colours.
I had loads of fun creating this page.  Isabelle was so little.  I'm really pleased I was able to create a page with these photos as I adore them.  The patterned paper is by My Minds Eye.  I cut the the branches, leaves and little birds using my cricut.  I tend to cut on white card and colour the pieces, before shaping and adhering.
I didn't have any filter paper to hand so I used tissue paper instead to make the leaves.  I inked them, spritzed them with Mica Mists and cut them into leaf shapes.  The large fabric flowers were from a 'mother's day garland making kit' which I found in the clearance section in Sainsbury's a few years ago.  In the centre's  I popped some Prima flowers.
I cut the large scallop shape with my Cricut from Core-dinations cardstock, scrunched it up and sanded it back a little.  I also cut the baby bottle on the Cricut too and added some cardstock stickers.
I used self adhesive gems for the birds eyes an a white gel pen to add the year to the branch.  Voila! my first Dt layout for Scrapology :o)
Ciao for now!

It's so lovely to see your layouts, Sandra. The one from your last post is great but I have to say this one really caught my eye, it's so pretty. Those papers are yummy and I love your branches with the little bird. Your daughter really looks like you, she's adorable.
Hope your Christmas preparations are going well.
Hugs Lisax
