It has been an absolute age since my last post. I have missed sharing with you all. Lots has happened in the Dry household. My hubby ran the Brighton Marathon in under 5 hours and raised lots of dosh for charity... we're so proud of him. The very next day (first Monday of the Easter holidays) my little boy broke his arm! It felt like we were in and out of hospital for most of the holiday. Poor little fellow had to have an operation to have it manipulated. Doc's said he might be able to have his cast off next week.
Anyhow... back to crafting. I made this page for the April Scraplift on the Scrapology challenge blog. There is still time to enter. You can find the details here.
I really had fun putting this one together. I immediately thought of using the Mickey Mouse iconic shape for the bunting. When it came to the 'tickets' towards the bottom of the sketch I was completely stuck. I didn't have any dies or stamps to help me out with the shape so I thought I would go for one of the borders on my Mickey and Friends Cricut cart. I'm really pleased I did as I love how it turned out. My printer was playing up a bit when I printed the little Mickey pictures but I think the lines it add to the 'TV' effect. I flood filled the screens with glossy accents.
The flowers were from a giant pack of Petaloo flowers from QVC. I added the self adhesive pearls in the centre after I had coloured them with my Pro Markers.
And now for some good news :o) I was thrilled to be the winner of the March Scrapology Challenge. Yay! Details here if you'd like to have a peak.
If you want to grab a crafty bargain this Saturday come along to the Second Hand Craft Sale in Horley. I'm being brave and letting go of some of my crafty stash. Hubby keeps telling me that I have enough stock to open a shop (and he's not kidding there!) I just haven't got the room anymore.... some of it has to go. So don't miss out. I'm clearing out lots of things from rubber stamps to craft tools. I'm unsure whether to take my piles of craft mags... what do you think?
Hopefully see you on Sat 12-3 :o)

Hi Sandra. It's lovely to see you again. Well done Hubby for his Marathon and all the money he raised. I have every admiration for people who can run marathons. I feel tired just watching them!!
I hope you Son is feeling a bit better now, sounds like his Easter hols were spoilt a bit but i hope he's got lots of signatures on his cast, do they still do that?
Your LO is gorgeous. i love all the little Mickeys you've made at the bottom and how brilliant to have won, well done you, so well deserved.
Hugs Lisax
