House Mouse Christmas card

Hi folks! A simple card from me today. I went for traditional Christmas colours of Red, Gold and Green (Hmmm... I feel a song coming on...) The stamp used is from Joanna Sheen's unmounted House Mouse collection, 'opening presents'.
I stamped the message on green card using a versamark pad and embossed it covering with clear embossing powder. I dry embossed a pattern onto a rectangle of red cardstock using my Cuttlebug and wrapped some gold ribbon around it. I added a bow and some holly leaves cut using QK dies. The holly berries are flat back plastic beads. I stamped, watercoloured and cut out the image and adhered to the card using dimensional glue gel.

House Mouse Snoozy friends

Hi folks! Those of you with kiddies at home for the holidays, are they driving you potty yet? I'm not saying a word!
Here's a card I made with House Mouse stamp plate 'Poppy'. These little guys look so happy and relaxed.
I stamped and watercoloured the main image adding a touch of glitter to the flowers. I cut the image with my rectangle Nestabilities. I used my scalloped rectangle Nestie to cut the purple glitter paper. Under that layer I have some lilac pearlescent paper that I embossed with my Cuttlebug and matted onto some black card. I used my WRMK circle cutter to cut the green layer. The final layer I created by spritzing some lilac paper with a combo of cosmic shimmer misters, glimmer mists and that special touch of mica mists. I added a large sheer ribbon bow and finished off the card with a brad in the top right corner which I had glittered with lush green glitter.

House Mouse... You make me smile!

Hi folks! Here's one of the cards I made using Joanna Sheen's House Mouse 'ice cream' stamp set. Those cheeky mice are up to no good again! I tried to stick to a couple of colours, pink and brown... kept it simple with plenty of glitter! (could I possibly use any more exclamation marks??!!)
I used lots of glitter cardstock and my Nestabilities to create the mats and layers. I stamped the image with brown versafine ink and painted it with my koi watercolours. I completed flooded the label of the ice cream tub with glossy accents to make it nice and shiny. The sentiment is stamped from the set. The ribbon flower is a sticker that I have had in my stash for years, I think it was a magazine freebie. I finished the card off with a large, sheer ribbon double bow.

House Mouse Christmas card

Hi folks! Hope you are all well. I believe this is the first Christmas card for the year from me... but alas it is a sample to showcase the House Mouse stamps and so my Christmas card box is still empty :o( Really mustn't leave my Christmas card making too late this year.
I made a diamond top card (instructions here) and covered all the surfaces with some lovely DCWV Christmas paper. I thought it was a fun colour combo to have and also the candy canes worked really well with the stamped image. I used my square Nestabilities to cut some black glitter card and a Quickutz holly die to cut the silver glittercard holly leaves. I stamped and watercoloured the image, which is from the 'Opening Presents' set, cut and adhered onto the card with some dimensional glue gel. I finished off the card with some translucent pink half beads.

House Mouse Cupcake card

Hi folks! Here's another couple of cheeky mice this time tucking into a yummy cupcake. I just knew these little tinkers needed to be showcased on a huge cupcake shaped card. Messy Rabbit CDrom to the rescue as the Cupcake shaped card was printed from there.
I stamped the image, from the House Mouse Birthday 'ice-cream' stamp set, watercoloured and cut it out and adhered to the card front with dimensional glue gel. All I added to the main card was a large double ribbon bow, a couple of decorative pins, some glitter to highlight the icing and glossy accents on the cherry and also the candles. A simple card, but I hope you like it.

House Mouse float away in bubbles card :o)

Hi folks! It's been an exciting weekend for Joanna Sheen on Create and Craft . It's the launch of her House Mouse unmounted rubber stamp range. Such adorable and cheeky images. I had such fun playing with these. Now when I saw all these lovely snoozy mice I thought of them floating away in bubbles. A bit of a 'far out' design that needs to be seen in the flesh to appreciate as my limited photography skills do not pick up the shimmer of the backing paper at all!
I printed the sky backing sheet onto pearlescent cardstock which gives a beautiful shimmer. I stamped, watercoloured and cut out the images from the 'Poppy' House Mouse stamp set. I had some lovely self adhesive glitter film that I thought would be perfect to encapsulate the sleeping mice and look a little like bubbles. So I used my circle Nestabilities to die cut the film. I added a few clear glimmer and self adhesive gems to the design. I stamped the sentiment, also from the set, with Stazon ink onto the smallest bubble. To continue the 'floaty' theme I finished the card off with a white feather and sheer ribbon bow.

Dinosaur Birthday card

Hi folks! Hope you are all well. Here's a card that I made for my friends little boy. He loves dinosaurs and I was asked for a green one on his card.
I found the perfect kit to play with on the Nitwits website. Really love their style and I'm sure I shall be doing lots more Digi/hybrid crafting. Most of the elements on this card are from the Fabasauraus collection. I created the landscape by screwing up some beige cardstock, rubbing brown and black ink over the creases and flattening it out. I ripped it into strips and layed it onto the card blank until I was happy. I used my Go Kreate alphabet dies to cut the letters out from Funky Foam.
This is the insert I created using the kit. Was great fun to make.

Cute Kitten Birthday card

Hi folks! Here's a card I made using Giordano Puppies and Kittens CDrom and 'Another Birthday?' rubber stamp set. I printed out the backing paper onto linen cardstock, wrapped some ribbon around and knotted it.
I coloured in the stamped image with Prima colour pencils, Sansodor and paper stumps. I used my Nestabilities to mat cut out and layer up the sentiment. I used the glossy accents to highlight the kittens eyes.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Butterfly card

Hi folks! It's been ages since my last post...sorry! Things are hotting up with 'end of term' activities at school and preparation for my eldest to go to secondary school (my baby is growing up) Here's another card I made for Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew 'Jungle and Wild animal' stamp launch. When I saw these butterflies on the stamp sheet they took me back to the Victorian era and butterfly collectors. Hence the idea for the magnifying glass.
The K&Co paper has been in my stash for years. I was so pleased to finally use it. I used a variety of dies to create the magnifying glass. It was fun hunting through my collection and finding ones that might work. I also covered the large open circle with acetate.
The images were stamped, watercoloured, glittered and cut out. The patterned paper had a butterfly printed on it already which was perfect for the small stamped butterfly which I layered over the top (see photo above) I added some coiled wire for the antennae as I chopped the originals off. I stamped the sentiments a couple of times straight onto the patterned paper and finished the card off with a tiny sheer ribbon bow.

Relax you deserve it!

Hi folks! Just a quickie to share with you today. For this card I used some fabulous designs by Giordano, both rubber stamps and printed from the CDrom. I printed out the beautiful backing paper from the Giordano Puppies and Kittens CDrom onto glossy photo paper. Before printing the large image I played with the opacity on my graphics programme to give a more translucent effect.
I stamped the image (Relax you deserve it!) and coloured it with my Prisma colour pencils (it was so refreshing to go back to using pencils to colour) and die cut it with may Nestabilities. I layered these images up onto some gold mirri-card. I used my Nestabilities to cut the scalloped circle and my Carl paper trimmer to create the scallops around the rectangle. I adhered the layers using dimensional glue gel and added the ribbon bow. For a finishing touch I added glitter to the flowers on the stamped image and a little glossy accents to the puppies' nose.

How Now Brown Cow?

Hi folks! Here's a card I made with Jayne Netley Mayhews 'Cow' rubber stamp set. In my mind cows are always called 'Daisy' which is why I started off with the idea of a flower shaped card and chose those particular patterned paper designs. The papers have been in my stash for many years, I think they were from a provo craft bumper stack.
The flower shaped card was created using my Cricut and Gypsy. I filled the aperture with some acetate which I had embossed, using my Cuttlebug, to add some texture.
I wanted to add a panel to use the other lovely cow stamp and also a place to write a message but I didn't want it visible through the acetate panel. So I added a decorated flap with a little ribbon loop, so that it could be lifted easily and attached it with a brad.
I added the main image, coloured in with Copic markers, a ribbon bow and the message to the front of the card.
I hope you enjoy this glorious weekend.

Pretty in Pink

Hi folks! I had fun making this sweet little card. I made the backing paper by screwing up a sheet of pink paper and spritzing it with cosmic shimmer mists. I printed the patterned paper from Joanna Sheen's new Giordano Puppies and Kittens CDrom straight onto some linen cardstock. I then highlighted the flowers with stickles.

I stamped the image (How are you?) and watercoloured it. I used a Martha Stewart boarder punch on another sheet of pink paper and pleated it before adhering to the top of the painted panel and then topped that with a large ribbon bow. I used my Woodware flower punches of various sizes to create the flower and finished them off with a self adhesive pearl.
I have also been busy sculpting. If you'd like to see more of baby Louisa then hop over to Tia Nena's Nursery for lots more pic's
