Isabelle, Tom & Ben

Hi folks,
Thought I'd share this page that I made last month following the fabulous sketch that was on the Craft Stamper Blog.
The Kraft cardstock, flocked vellum and cream brads were part of my Craft Palace DT kit. I added the Prima flowers (inked the edges of the petals) layered with punched daisies and used the Brads to attach them to the page. I have also used the Martha Stewart Doily border punch. The velvet ric rac I added mirrored the wonderful texture of the flocked vellum. Finally I used my Cuttlebug Fancy pants alphabet and Go Kreate Amsterdam alphabet set for the names and numbers on the page. The photo is of my 3 gorgeous kiddies...well I would say that...I am their Mummy after all ;o)

Sketch Saturday #57

Hi folks!
It's week 57 over on Sketch Saturday and another wonderful sketch from Jo. Hope my card is ok...was a bit rushed...and I don't like rushing my cards! Life gets so hectic. I'm rushing off to work in a mo so I'll fill in the details about Sponsors and GDT's on when I'm home tomorrow if you don't mind.
Just had to have a play with my new Diane Duda 'Believe' stamp. She had been coloured with Copics. The gold bits are embossed and her wing are glittered. All the papers, self adhesive ribbon and chipboard circle sentiment are by DCWV from their 'Once Upon a Time' range. I cut the little heart keys with a Quickutz die. The Word 'Believe' is also cut using a QK alphabet.
Sorry it's all a bit rushed.
Have a great Weekend!

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge 13, Sketch

Hello Folks!
Well it's week 13 over on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp and this week it's a sketch designed by our very own Kim Fee. A wonderful sketch to play with, I hope you are able to 'get your digi's out' and join in with the fun.
The beautiful Sarika is from my Bollywood collection. I have coloured her with copics and, of course, added a touch of gold glitter. I have used my Cuttlebug for the tag shape and Go Kreate 'Amsterdam' alphabet for the sentiment. The gold trim has been part of my craft stash for many years.... I think it may have been from the days when Alan and Barry were on Ideal World (I knew it would come in handy one day ;o) The patterned card stock is from the DCWV Taj Mahal stack and I cut out a few of the motifs to create the embellishment. I finished the card off with some self adhesive pearls.
I had so much fun visiting your blogs to see the 'scenes' you had created for last weeks challenge. I'm already looking forward to seeing your take on Kim's sketch.

My Snoozy Loupy

Hi folks!
Just a quickie to share with you a scrapbook page I made for the June Craft Extravaganza. The page is of my little Isabelle when she was just 9 months old.
The papers are by 3Bugs in a Rug, just love polka dot papers at the mo. I cut the title with my Cuttlebug 'Fancy Pants' aplhabet and added some ribbon. The corners are also a Cuttlebug die and this time I cut pink funky foam. I layered up Prima flowers, which I inked around the edges, with some small punched daisies and attached them to the page using large pink brads. The stamped image is my Snoozing Loupy, which is actually called 'Nap time' and is available here. You can see all the Kadoodle new releases on the Kadoodle blog. I have coloured her in with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, Sansodor and paper stumps. I finished off by adding glitter to her wing and a ribbon bow with long tails to the leaf stem.
See you tomorrow for the new Dare U 2 Digi Stamp challenge.

Another multi challenge card...

Hi folks!
I made this card with lots of challenges in mind. Just Magnolia and The Cuttlebug spot both have the theme of 'Summer' running this week. Charisma Cardz has a bling week wanting to see diamonds (mine are the flower centres)... It's 'tags' over on Cute Card Thursday (I have used tiny tags for the letters) and lili of the Valley wants us to paper piece (I have pieced Tilda's Dress). The Saturday Challenge has set a colour challenge of Pink and green (hope they don't mind a little bit of blue that snuck in there) Cute Daisy May wants animals (Does a Tilda Butterfly count ;o) and lastly I have followed the Friday Sketchers sketch.
For this card I have used the scrummy Imagineisce papers. I used my Nestabilities to cut the frame (pink glitter board) and white panel. I embossed the white panel with my Cuttlebug and added Cosmic Shimmer Aqua Twinkles to the raised dots. I saw this technique on one of the samples that my friend Kim Piggot had made for her demo day. I stamped tilda onto acetate and glittered her wings with translucent glitters. I replaced her antennae with wire ones that I finished with a couple of drops of liquid pearls. Her little dress I paper pieced and added a little black chalk to, the rest is coloured with Copics. The flowers are Prima and the leave made using my trusty Woodware punch. The sentiment (cut using Funky Foam) and tiny Tags are dies from my Go Kreate London Alphabet. I finished of the card with some pink ribbon, ric rak and flower brads from my stash.
Hope you have had a great start to your week.

Sketch Saturday #56

Morning all!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Here's my card for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge. Another fabulous sketch provided by Jo and this week we are sponsored by Heidi from Simon Says Stamps. (there is a voucher up for grabs...hop on over to the SS blog to see how much it's for) My fellow DT have obviously enjoyed this sketch as they have come up with some fabulous cards...you are the best ladies!! We welcome Leonie into the fold for a couple of weeks as our GDT. She has made a stunning card this week. Already looking forward to her card for next week.
For this card I used Gingham paper and foiled patterned Vellum (K&Co) which was in my DT pack from The Craft Palace. I added the wine card stock and ran one panel through my Cuttlebug to emboss. I also added some gold Mirri board and used the Fiskars Apron lace border punch (I was impressed at how easily it cut through Mirri board) and also made the corner flourishes from a Cuttlebug die. The image is my own 'Grandpa and Sarah' digi stamp. I coloured the flesh tones with my Copics, the clothing with koi water colours and for the book I used Twinkling H2O's giving a lovely sheen.I added some glossy accents to Grandpa's glasses and two tiny drops of liquid pearls for Sarah's buttons. I finished off the card with a ribbon bow and self adhesive pearls from my own stash.
Hope you are able to join us with this weeks sketch.
Ciao for now!

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge 12 - Make A Scene

Hi folks! There's a fresh challenge over on Dare U to Digi Stamp and it's to 'Create a Scene'. Christine and I have also popped a prize up of 2 single images each from our Digi Stamp sites, the choice if which is up to the winner. I knew exactly what I wanted to make and must say I'm really quite chuffed how this card turned out. It's so much prettier in real life as the beautiful sparkly glitter I have added to Rosabella's wings and outlined the leaves with has not come out at all well in the photo.(If you like you can click on the photo's to enlarge them) You'll have to imagine all the pretty sparkles.

I decided I wanted to make a tunnel card for my little scene and downloaded a template from here. I printed it out straight onto cardstock. The turned it over and printed the patterned backgrounds straight onto the card. The CD ROM I used was Flower Fairy Friends by Crafters Companion. These two sheets have to be my absolute favourite!. I have coloured the gorgeous 'Rosabella Wish' with my neglected Koi watercolours and glitter. I have used some fine gold wire to attach the tiny (Martha Stewart Punch) butterflies which I dangled from the middle aperture. Finally I made the flower with some tulle and my Woodware punches. I inked the petals, shaped and adhered with glue gel. I finished off the flower with a glittery self adhesive dot.
Hope I have managed to whisk you away to the land of fairies with this card.

More cards from the Extravaganza Weekend

Hi folks! Here are a couple more cards from the Extravaganza weekend in Lingfield. The first one features one of my new Loupy Lou designs for Kadoodle. The papers are by 3Bugs in a Rug and this particular collection has lots of cute dragonflies and butterflies which can be cut out and made into gorgeous embellishments.
I particularly enjoy adding coiled wire for the antennae. The card above is folded to create pockets. I did have a packet of Marigold seeds in this one...but Mum nabbed them before I could photograph it ;o)
Here's Loupy Lou again. This time she is 'Just Posin'. I cut the aperture using my scalloped Nestabilities and then covered the aperture with pink Mulberry paper. I cut the sentiment from Funky Foam using the 'London' Go Kreate alphabet dies.
Both cards feature the same Patterned papers, and are coloured using Derwent Coloursoft pencils, Sansodor and paper stumps. Thanks for looking.

Buxom Beauties at the Beach

Hi folks!
Here are a couple of the samples I made for/at the June Craft Extravaganza at Linglfield. For the one above I cut 'by eye' the wave shaped card. Used some fabby 3bugs in a rug polka dot patterned paper. Added some torn sandpaper.... yes folks...I did raid Hubby's tool box ;o) The sentiment I cut from funky foam using the new Go Kreate 'Lingfield' alphabet die and I coloured Petunia with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, Sansodor and Paper Stumps. Finished off the card with a ribbon bow.
I made this cheeky little bookmark again using the 3bugs patterned paper, more sandpaper and a layer of white card that I ran through my Cuttlebug and Swiss dots embossing folder. All edged with black ink, and finally layered onto some more black card. Looks like I attacked the corners with a rounder before sticking together. I used glue gel to stick the shell on and cut the birds from scraps of white card before adhering. I did the usual with the sentiment and this time it was the 'London' Go Kreate alphabet. 'Bikini Babe' is one of my new Kadoodle designs that was launched at the weekend. She has been coloured in with pencils too and finished of with gorgeous gold glitter.
Huge thanks go to everyone who came to the Extravaganza and especially those who took the time to say "hi", or sit with me for a while. It was a hoot!! Hope these cheeky crafty makes brightened your day.
Ciao for now!

Introducing Leo & Daddy, Sketch Saturday #55

Good morning folks!
It's Saturday and there is another delicious sketch over on Sketch Saturday for you to have fun with. This week we are being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe where you could win 3 downloads of your choice. It's also my good friend Christine Dark's last week as our Guest DT. It's been such a pleasure having you on the team. My fellow DT have made some gorgeous cards, please check out their blogs, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
For my card I have used Basic Grey Papers. I made a funky foam frame (you'll have to excuse me, foam seems to be appearing on all my cards at the moment...I love the stuff!) The letters are die cut foam too, I used a the Cuttlebug Olivia font. You've already met 'Yolanda and Daddy', well here is her brother Leo. I hope you like my Digi-Stamp. They are available as a set here. I have coloured my image with Copic markers. I finished the card off with some hand cut decorative corners ( I tried to create the look of bicycle spokes) and Pebbles inc. self adhesive candy dots. I'm really pleased with how bright and colourful this card turned out.
Have a great weekend!

Chocolate Orange Dare

It's F-F-F-Friday and another chance to join in with the fun on Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This week we are 'very' daring you to use the colour Combo Chocolate Orange. My mind was whirling with those retro colours and I thought they would be ideal for 'Grandpa and Sarah' one of my latest Digi-Stamps available here. I followed the fab sketch over on Truly Scrumptious and also adhered to the rule of only using an 'altered' flower. I die cut my flower using a big Sizzix die and used orange, brown and gold glitter to colour it. I love die cutting my sentiments out of funky foam, which is what I have done here, so I am entering this card to the first 'Pile it on' Challenge which is to use a non-stamped sentiment.
I have also used my Cuttlebug to emboss the script on the centre panel, my Nestabilities to cut the circles and scalloped circles and Quickutz dies for the decorative corners. The patterned paper is by DCWV. I have coloured my image with Copic markers and cut the sentiment from funky foam with my Go Kreate dies.
Looking forward to seeing your Orange and Chocolate creations.
Not long 'til the weekend!!!
Ciao for now!

Multi Challenge Card :o)

Hi folks! Hope you are all well...I'm still recovering after the busy Craft Extravaganza last weekend. Great to meet so many crafters and demo alongside so many crafting legends! Thanks and *waves* to everyone who came and said "Hi". I'll be sharing some of my creations with you soon. You'll be able to see the rest on the Craft Barn blog.
Anyway, on to today's card. I made this one for my wonderful sister-in-law and followed no less than 6 challenges in the process. The sketch and 2 Magnolia Butterflies are for Just Magnolia, A Spoon Full Of Sugar wanted to see Butterflies, The Saturday Challenge wanted 'Bling' ( I have used foiled card and added glitter to the wings) Cute Card Thursday urged us to use punches/dies (I used my Nestabilities and Woodware leaf punch) Lili of The Valley has a theme of 'Summer fun' (nothing says 'Summer' to me more than fluttery butterflies) and lastly Charisma Cardz has the colour challenge of Pink & Brown.
All the card, patterned paper and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards. I die cut the aperture and sandwiched between the layers a piece of acetate that I had first stamped with a decorative swirl stamp and Stazon Ink. I tied the ribbon bow and ribbon around some of the layers before adding the scalloped frame. My gorgeous character is a Hanglar stamp, coloured using Copic Markers and glitter. I have used Prisma flowers and topped them with self adhesive pearls.

The embossed and sanded panel is Co-ordinations whitewash. The corners and sentiment are Quickutz and Cuttlebug dies. The flower brads are by Making Memories and the ribbon was a freebie from a mag. Dare U to use Ribbons!

Hi folks!
Think you may need your 'Sunnies' for this card. I decided to go for bright and colourful (which fits in nicely with the theme over on Colour Create). This weeks 'Dare' on Dare U to digi Stamp is Ribbons. I started off by just wanting to use the tiny ribbon bows (yes they are hand tied ;o) in Bonnie's hair... would have been a bit 'spot the ribbon' so I added the larger one too.
The gorgeous papers I used for this card are by Imaginisce, quite an old collection so I'm not sure if it's still widely available (I'm a bit of a hoarder) Bonnie and Daddy are available here. The scalloped card is by Craftwork cards. I cut the scalloped, funky foam frame using my Nestabilities. All the flowers are cut from one of the Imaginisce papers. I curled, inked and stacked them up using glue gel. The leaves are a Woodware punch. Bonnie and Daddy have been coloured in using Copic Markers.
My fellow DT have come up with some fabulous makes for this challenge. Do hop on over and be inspired. Hope you can join in. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Have a great weekend...I will... 2 days of solid crafting at The Craft Extravaganza, Lingfield. Wall to wall desmonstrators and lots of crafty lovely jubbliness!!!!
Ciao for now!
