The launch of Sheena's 'A Village Mystery' stamp collection

Hello folks!  Hope you are all fine and dandy.  Sheena Douglass is launching some terrific stamps tomorrow on Create and Craft........her shows are at 9am, 1pm and 6pm.  I'm really excited about the launch as one of the stamp plates has a typewriter on it.  Those of you that have known me for many years will also know that my Dad's a typewriter mechanic and had his own shop 'Manny's Typewriter Services'.  I grew up watching my Dad fix and service typewriters.  I still remember the distinct sound of the typewriter keys clattering away, the 'ding' of the little bell and the ratcheting sound as the carriage returned.  It's the place that cemented my love of 'papercraft'.  That shop was a little piece of heaven to me.
For my card I stamped the image onto cream cardstock and cut it out.  I cut away the small paper and coiled my own over sized paper piece and stuck it in place with dimensional glue gel.
My fellow Inkoid, Mandy Green, and I stayed up late one of the evenings of our recent retreat and together came up with the idea of colouring ribbon with alcohol pens to create a ribbon that looks like typewriter ribbon...... then I noticed that Professor Clayton (chief Inkoid) had also had the same idea with one of her cards. Great minds and all that :)
I hope you are able to tune in to Sheena's shows.  The team have come up with some amazing cards that Sheena can't wait to share with you.
Ciao for now!
