Wild Thing... at the Merly Impressions Retreat

Hi folks!  I thought I'd share the layout I made in the class taught by the talented Emilie Chamel on the Merly Impressions Retreat that I attended last weekend.  I used a photo of my little Isabelle having just had her face painted at a friends birthday party.
I stamped some feathers, flowers and leaves (from the Elegance collection) straight onto some white cardstock  which I splattered with distress stains and flicked with watered down acrylics. I created the feathers by painting some more white card, drawing leaf shapes and snipping in the feathered detail.  The beautiful blossoms came in the class kit.
I die cut some Funky Foam for the title and added some AB crystals.  These are really sparkly to the naked eye.  I couldn't capture it too well in the photos but I filled in parts of the stamped images with glamour dust adding yet more sparkle (you can never have enough sparkle).  I also stamped the butterfly again and added it as a decoupaged layer on top of the original butterfly on the top right of the page.  Of course I added some pink sparkly gems to the butterfly too :)
I finished off the page some lovely pins given to me by my friend Linda, who put up with me sitting opposite her all weekend :)
Here's Emilie's page.  It was great having her crafting along with us.  She created another page following the same layout which was equally as beautiful.
Ciao for now!

Both are lovely pages, love the feathers. I sure don't miss the tears from when the facepaint had to be washed off before bed lol. Happy Weekend Elizabeth x
