Hello folks!! Well... it's 2013. I wonder what it will bring for us all? Certainly a fab challenge over on Scrapology. We're scraplifting a stunning page by the talented Elaine Rolf with the additional challenge of 'Tags'. I had an idea that I wanted to use the 'tea cup' ride photos as I thought the way the photos were arranged gave a real sense of movement. However, the photo I really liked didn't seem to fit.... so it spilled over to a second page!
The left hand page is the one where I followed the sketch. I cut all the tags and the teacups on my cricut. I inked around all the edges and journalled on some of the tags. I also coloured some white ribbon with alcohol markers to get the right shade for the page.
Again my trusty Cricut was put to good use cutting out all the shapes and the title on this page. Putting together the teapot and mouse was quite labour intensive but I'm really glad how it turned out.
And a closer look at the mouse. What I tend to do with the layered shapes is to cut them out on white cardstock and then colour the pieces with my alcohol markers. It saves hunting around for the right coloured card. I added stickles to the teapot and cups and glossy accents to his eyes, teeth and nose.
NEW YEAR CANDY
Did I say New Year Candy?.... yes, yes I think I did. And there is some up for grabs over on Scrapology.
