A travel journal

Hello folks!!  Well I'm back from an absolutely fabulous weekend crafting at Broadwindsor with Maggie, Sue, Mary and the rest of my crafty lovelies (waves and hugs to you all).  Lots of crafting, laughs, food, fabulous company and scarcely enough sleep to get by... all in all a fabulous time had by all.
Mary MacLeod hosted a class and these were the lovely journals we created.  We were given the mount board covers and all the die cut and embossed pieces (thank you Mary) and we set about decorating and putting them together.
I stamped my background with Sam Poole's gorgeous Newsprint background stamp.  I inked the edges of the covers and all of the pages with distress inks.  I coloured all the embossed pieces with alcohol markers before adhering them in place.  I punched the holes with my Crop-a-dile and held the journal together with book rings.  For a final touch I hung an epoxy sticker, a tiny tag and a cute little key on twine from the handle.
I really enjoyed my weekend.... I hope you did too.
Ciao for now!

Morning Sandra, Just seen your post on Sam's Blog, left a little comment and popped across to see the details. This is absolutely beautiful, Sandra. I love how you have stamped and inked the covers etc. Please could you tell me where the die-cuts for the valise come from ? I would love to make one of these. Lots of love from Patricia xx
