Hello folks! I was itching to create a little something to remind me of the wonderful celebrations we enjoyed for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. I thought a little hanging banner would do just the trick. I used just one triangular piece and one scalloped piece from the fabulous Scalloped Banner pack available at Sam Poole's Creative Studios. (Great value too as there are 5 complete banners in the pack.) I covered each piece with red and blue patterned papers (Portobello Road) and inked the edges.
I die cut Big Ben from a Quickutz set that has been sat in storage waiting for just such an occasion for years! I just die cut the pieces in white card and coloured the separate sections with alcohol markers. the stamped image (Whipper Snapper) is also coloured with alcohol markers.... I wrote on her sash with a fine liner and added tiny gems to her crown.
I die cut a small accent (Spellbinders) coloured it and threaded a small piece of blue polka dot through and adhered to the bottom of the banner. I popped Big Ben and the character in place and finished the banner off with ribbon, bows and some coloured paper roses. I used my hot melt glue gun to fix most of the pieces on.
I've waffled on for long enough...
Just remains for me to say a big 'Welcome' to Mandy.... the newest member of the Creative Studios Design Team :D
Ciao for now!

Love this pennant Sandra. You have put so much care and attention into the finish of each element - it's the details that count. Will keep my eye out for your posts in future. Hugs, Buttons x
