Cog Christmas Tree Card

Hello folks!  Here is a Christmas card I made using Joanna Sheen's 'Speedy Celebration' stamp set.  I cut the triangle aperture and stamped through using the cogs and gears from the stamp set.  I added the backing paper (handy to cover all the 'over-stamping') and added ribbon, a bow and extra ribbon curls before adhering to the front of the card.
I added some dark red self adhesive pearls to the tree.
The flowers are made up of some die cut (Marianne dies) some punched (Woodware) and some stamped (from the Speedy stamp set) layers and finished off with more self adhesive pearls.
Ciao for now!

Sea Breezes

Hello folks!  I hope you have had a fabulous weekend.  I had fun making this spring card,  keeping the colour palette to soft blues, greens and sand.  The papers are by We R Memory Keepers.  The edges are inked - I find it so difficult to make a card without inking the edges... it just seems unfinished to me.  Hmmm maybe I should try harder not too.  The image is from a Faye Whittaker stamp set.  I watercoloured the image and cut it out with my Nestabilities.
I used a 'Hot Off The Press' template to create the 'fold-it' ribbon swirls.  I thought they looked a little like the paper windmills we like to associate with fun days at the beach.

Lifebuoy Ring Card

Hello folks!  Here's a card I made using a Faye Whittaker rubber stamp.  I watercoloured the image and framed it with a lifebuoy Ring (cut using my Cricut Expression and Gypsy).  I had to root around under our kitchen sink to find the rope which was just what I was looking for to add the finishing touch.
Here's a closer look at the image.

House Mouse Christmas Card.... three wise mice

Hello folks!  Just love this House Mouse Christmas stamp... three wise mice.  How cute are they?  I didn't want to detract from the main image too much so I kept everything else pretty simple.
I made a large 8x8 kraft card blank and layered up with various pieces of square card including some brown gingham (seem to have used a lot of this lately)  I embossed the final layer with Cuttlebug 'random dots' embossing folder and rubbed over with metallic rub on.
The sentiment is from the stamp set.  I shaped it and adhered with dimensional glue gel.  The holly is cut from the main image that I stamped and watercoloured again.  I die cut the decorative corners and popped them in place.  The final touch was to add glossy accents to all the holly berries and some red gingham ribbon.
Ciao for now!

....the things you cannot buy

Hello folks!  I made this card earlier in the year and it's still one of my favourites.  I should have made two as I sent it to Joanna Sheen as a sample for her 'wordy' stamp sets... ahh well, I can always make another one.
I printed a sheet of rainbow paper from one of the MCS CDroms onto pearlescent paper and embossed it with the swirly fiskars embossing plate.  I then added Stickles glitter glue to each of the swirls.  I stamped and embossed, in white, the image on some more of the rainbow paper.  I continued the design by hand stitching with white thread.
I hope this shot gives you an idea of the pearlesence and shimmer of the card.  The glitter really twinkles when it's moved.
I used my Martha Stewart punch to add the finishing touches of the butterflies.
Joanna has some fab live shows lined up for this weekend, a great cdrom being launched and of course some more wonderful stamps.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Ciao for now!

A floral card

Hello my lovelies... I'm back again to share a floral card. I do hope you are all well and crafting away like crazy. This card showcases Joanna Sheen's Fantasy Flower Exotic stamp set.

I stamped the image a few times and coloured with alcohol markers. I carefully cut out the main image twice and a selection of the petals and leaves to create some dimension. I created the long slim card blank and covered the base layer with some dark green velvet paper. I then matted and layered with more velvet paper and some gold mirri-card. With some dimensional glue gel; a little Spellbinder die-cutting; a ribbon bow and some coloured pins the card was complete.

Ciao for now!
