Best of British

Hi folks!

I just knew I had to make a sandcastle shaped card using sandpaper when I saw these delightful images. I took inspiration for the shape from the tiny sandcastle stamp which was part of the aptly named 'Sandcastle' stamp set by Faye Whittaker.

I managed to use all the images from the set mounting them on circles and scalloped circles die cut using Nestabilities.
I painted the images using Lyra aquacolour crayons and made the bunting with my Cricut Machine. I enjoyed using sandpaper for the background, it added a fabulous texture to the card.

Ciao for now!

Pinboard Card

Hello folks!

Here's a card I made to look like one of those lovely pinboards that I would love to own one day. It features the stamp set 'Bucket and Spade' designed by the talented Faye Whittaker. I cut a sheet of cork down to 8x8 and attached some ribbon in a criss cross design using brads.

This little panel can be removed and a message added. The little sentiment is from the stamp set mentioned above. I added some prima flowers, loops of ribbon and some stickles in the centre of the flowers.
I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and painted it. I printed out some cute little keys that are an embellishment from a digi scrapbook kit that I have and adhered them to the cork board with dimwnsional glue gel and topped them with a cute little bow. ....it's been a long time coming, but there is finally a new post here on my other blog featuring my mini sculpts. So if you want to see more of baby Joy, then hop over.
Ciao for now!
