Winner!! and Challenge No.1

Hello folks!  Well, it's finally here.... the first challenge over on the official Joanna Sheen challenge blog.  A nice and easy one to kick us off 'Christmas Wishes'.  My fellow team mates have made delightful creations to inspire you with the challenge and Joanna has given a £30 winners prize voucher for the online shop.  A great prize I'm sure you will agree.  I hope you are able to join us.  All the details are on the challenge blog , if I've missed anything.  I decided to make a scrapbook page of my twins on the run up to Christmas in 2008.
I really enjoyed making this page.  The patterned paper, chipboard candy canes and sweetie are DCWV.  I created my own doeflex (sp?) snowflake template with my gypsy and cricut machine.  Through it I scraped Artists Spackle (similar to embossing paste), removed the template and covered with glitter.  I rounded the corners of the photos and the mats and added some coarse Martha Stewart crystal glitter to the edges (see above)  The small snowflakes, again are created with the Cricut, I inked them and glittered the shadow layer.  I cut the letters with a Spellbinders Alphabet set from red funky foam.  I printed the large Father Christmas pic from the Giordano Christmas CDrom, matted and layered using my Nestabilities.  This layout is so sparkly and glittery in real life.... I'm sorry I didn't manage to catch that on my photos.
Now for the important news of the Blog Hop winner................  My winner, chosen at random is:
Jan
and here is what she had to say..........
Excellent blog hop good luck with the new blog xx Jan
Congratulations Jan!  Please leave me your email in my comments box and I can organise your prize.  You have 7 days to claim at which point we will do the draw again.
Looking forward to seeing your Christmas Wishes.
Ciao for now!

wow Sandra I love this and I will definitely be pinching the idea of the letters forming a circle around the photos - what a great way to draw the eyes in.
