Bright, cheerful and colourful...!

Hello folks!

I hope this card will brighten your day :o) It's inspired by all those gorgeous images around that depict beautiful ladies with flowers in their hair. Maybe I went a bit far with mine.... hubby says it looks like one of those 1960's swimming caps. Even that brought a smile to my face.

It's quite a clean and simple card.... well it is for me anyway. I printed off a sheet of rainbow background paper (from an MCS cdrom) onto pearlescent cardstock. I stamped and embossed loads of the daisy flower and leaves (from Joanna Sheen's pressed flower stamp range - Narcissi) No need to colour as I stamped onto the coloured cardstock. I cut each one out and shaped some of them.

I drew the ladies face, neck and shoulders straight onto the card base (coloured using promarkers) and adhered the flowers and leaves using dimensional glue gel. I punched what was left of the coloured sheet with a scalloped border punch and used the strips to edge the top and bottom of the card.
The finishing touch was to add some chunky 'ice-stickles' to the centre of the flowers. And that was it. Not much to it really and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Ciao for now!

Hi Sandra. I'm glad your little boy has his cast off in time for half term, it's been a long haul for him hasn't it.
Your flower girl is gorgeous. I had to laugh at your husbands comments. I remember my Mum having a swimming cap like that. I'm glad that fashion died out!!!!
Hugs Lisax
