Hi folks,
Just had to share this card that I made with Joanna Sheen's, just launched 'wordy' stamp sets. I had the idea as soon as I saw the stamp which has the wording cleverly shaped into spectacles.
I stamped and embossed the image onto acetate (it was just out of my scrapbox and I don't think it was heat resistant, hence the warping.... but I quite liked that) I cut out the glasses shape and used a black copic marker to draw in the rims. To get Granny's shape, I stamped the image onto some copier paper and drew her face. I then grabbed some peachy and grey cardstock and separately traced the shapes onto it. I shaped the pieces with my fingers and a large ball tool and added some colour using chalks. I thought she would look great mounted onto black card (which I had embossed and rubbed with metallic rub-on) which was layered over another piece this time punched with a dainty border and coloured with a pink copic marker to match the flower gems. I stuck all the pieces down with dimensional glue gel and added the mouth and chin details with a black fine liner. I finished the card off with some self adhesive flower gems.

I cut the circle and scalloped circle with Nestabilities and stamped the sentiment which was also from the stamp set.
Such a fun card to make, hopefully it'll make someone smile.
Ciao for now!

It certainly made me smile, Sandra. Eric missed it and I was trying to tell him about it when I went downstairs. I'll be able to show him now because it's quite clear on your blog. Hazel x
This is so creative Sandra, well done on a really clever idea.
Fab card Sandra, it made me chuckle. Ain't that sentiment the truth?
