Hello folks! Are you ready to say farewell to 2012 and a hearty hello to 2013...? I've made this little, roughly 4x4, card to see in the New Year.
I took some of the fabulous kraft card and stamped it with images from the Time Keeper rubber stamp set. I went for the pocket watch and the musical notes as I love to dance the night away with family and friends waiting for the magical midnight hour. Keeping to the wintry theme I dropped on some white embossing powder and heated it from behind to give the randomly speckled design. I stamped the bird, from Steampunk Christmas, onto the kraft cardstock and gave it a quick watercolour wash with white, brown and black paint. I made a little slice into the brim of his hat and tucked in a little '2013' note covering up the holly berries. I used a pewter rhinestone for the eye.
I die cut the letters from white funky foam and added AB rhinestones to each one. A little ribbon and a bow were the finishing touch along the bottom.

Hi Sandra, love this fun card. I don't know if you have tried it but you can heat funky foam with your heat gun and it shrinks. You have to be careful not to burn it! Have a great New Years evening and hope 2013 is a great year for you. Love and hugs, Carol S.xx
