Cup and Saucer Easel card with Jammie cream biscuit

Hello folks! So glad you decided to visit. I am still here crafting away, just haven't had much of a chance to blog. This'll be a quickie too as we're off on our holibobs after lunch and the twins have a birthday party to go to before that (you see what I mean?)

I thought I would share this card with you as there was some confusion as to whether I had made the biscuit embellishment or not when the card was shown on Joanna Sheen's show on Create and Craft yesterday (...and breathe.... note to self, must use more punctuation)

I sourced the teacup shape from an MCS CDrom and created the oval for the saucer using my gypsy and Cricut Expression. The stamp is from Joanna Sheen's Pressed Flower stamp range. I used Promarkers to add some colour.
Now for the biscuit. I saw this idea in blogland and thought I'd give it a go. I grabbed some cream and tan funky foam. I die cut the circles using my Nestabilities. I cut a smaller circle in one of the tan circles. I then gently heated that circle and stamped into it using a swirl stamp. I then stacked the circles up and glued them together. I used my chocolate Brilliance dew drop ink pad around the edges of the biscuit. For the 'jam' I filled the recess with red liquid pearls and once that was dry I topped it off with a layer of stickles. I adhered to the easel card to make a fun stopper.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the school holidays. I'll see you in September!!
Ciao for now!

Yay! I'm the Scrapology guest designer for August!!

Hello folks! I have been really looking forward to sharing this page with you. As my title suggests, I'm the guest designer over on Scrapology for August.... (can you tell that I'm a tad excited??) Hop over to Scrapology and you will see the beautiful scrapbook page by IngridG that we are scraplifting this month and also the inspirational pages by the talented design team.
As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to create a page with little Tinkerbell and my beautiful Isabelle. I spritzed the green 12x12 paper all over with Pearl Glimmer Mist. I added my mats, layers and photo. I used my Cricut Expression to cut a large circle frame and used the negative as a stencil for spraying iridescent spray & sparkle (as you can imagine this layout is pretty sparkly in the flesh) I used small star punches to punch through a sheet of adhesive, stuck them to the layout and added glitter. I'm hoping all this sparkle shows Tinkerbell's fairy dust trail and magic!

The feature for this month is 'Ribbon'. I sewed through and scrunched up some sheer white ribbon to create a flower head and did some weaving (I saw Sue Wilson demoing this technique on the telly) to create the flower stem. The leaves are by Prima. I'm really pleased with how the flower turned out.

I cut the title using my Cricut again and, of course, coloured it with more glitter. Tinkerbell herself is a Jolees sticker that I have had in my stash for years waiting for the right page.

I cut some parchment wings for my Isabelle using my Cricut, added some glitter and adhered to the photo.

I hope you are able to join in with the Scrapology challenge.

Looking forward to blog hoping and catching up.

Ciao for now!
