F is for Framed - Scrapology Challenge.

Hi folks.... taking another study break to blog this layout which I made on my fabulous crafty retreat at Debden for this months Scrapology Challenge which is F is for Framed.  We're scraplifting a gorgeous page by the talented Maria Featon.  There is also a great prize up for grabs... I hope you can join in with the fun.
For my page I've used a picture of my wonderful nephew, Andy, and his lovely girlfriend Nikita.  The patterned papers are by My Mind's Eye and they are from the 'follow your heart'  Be Happy range.  I fussy cut around some of the corner details of one of the papers following the outline of some of the flowers.  Then  I continued the cut forming the straight part of the frame.
I took my time to glitter the delicate doily sheet that I placed behind the frame.  It's so pretty and sparkly in real life.  The banner I created  using a punch borrowed from my lovely friend Linda.  I threaded the banners on some blue thread before draping across my page.  The letters are die cut and I popped an AB crystal on each one.

My favourite flourish swirl made an appearance again.  I inked them a little before adhering behind the flowers which I made using the Tim Holtz tattered floral die and my Little Claire coiled flower die.  I finished the page off by adding AB crystals to some of the flowers and the crown worn by the bird.
I do hope you are inspired to join in with this months challenge.  Lots more inspiration by my fellow teamies here
Back to the books for me. Ciao for now!
